Bearing the gifts of TfL Rail…

Tis the season of goodwill to all suffering TfL Rail passengers. And what better than to have three wise TfL staff (two elfs and a santa) come bearing gifts for those who have suffered delay after delay. It might not be gold, frankincense, or myrrh – but there are some surprises! Its Christmas, the time for joyous celebration and remembering. And what better than to look back over the years and see what sort of gifts TfL Rail have been bearing ever since their inception a number of years back..

These pictures are in reverse chronological order e.g. from 2019 back to 2012. One wonders whether TfL can really afford this stuff, especially when they regularly remind everyone their fiances are in a parlous state…

Going back to the future from 2015 (if one reads this column up instead of down) it will be seen TfL has progressed from the simple pleasures such as ice lollies and bottled water to more expensive stuff. Producing all this throw away stuff (especially the packaging and certain items) isn’t good for the environment anyway.

Here’s to a joyous Xmas and a quite possibly prosperous 2020 – in Brexit Britain

Note: The above picture is not of TfL staff but Land Security, who have a contract with TfL to provide security at some of its stations. One will be surprised to find out how much of TfL’s services are actually contracted out to private companies! And its not just TfL Rail, its Overground, Thameslink, SWR, Southern etc etc.
